A full brand and website project for a community driven Brazilian Jiu Jitsu CIC using martial arts to support children, teenagers, men and families who need confidence, structure and connection. Mind on the Mat needed to feel more than a gym and more than a charity. It needed to show the power of Jiu Jitsu as a pathway into community, discipline, resilience and real life support.
I helped shape the brand story, website structure, copy and visual direction around one clear model. The Academy delivers high quality Jiu Jitsu training for all levels, while every membership helps fund the Foundation’s work in the community. This became the Earned Impact System, making the link between training and social impact easier to understand.
Working in collaboration with Innuvo, we brought the project to life as a fully bespoke WordPress website, built around clear user journeys, bold visual storytelling and simple routes into training, support, donations and partnerships. Alongside the site, the project expanded into clothing merchandise and sponsorship packs, giving Mind on the Mat the tools to build visibility, raise support and strengthen the Wolf Pack beyond the mat.
The result is a website and brand system that splits the offer into two clear paths. The Academy for training and membership. The Foundation for funded support, donations, partnerships and community impact. Every section was written to feel human, purposeful and easy to act on.
Mind on the Mat is built by people who care deeply about the work. The site needed to carry that same energy. Grounded, confident and full of purpose, without slipping into empty charity speak or fight club clichés.
